The wife backed into a tree and broke a rear taillight assembly. From the remains it appears that the taillight just slips in with two things that look like screws but are probably some other type fastener. When I go and buy a new taillight, do the aftermarket taillight assemblies usually have all the fasteners or is this a separate item? I had to change out a busted headlight once before and those didn't come with any of the fasteners and finding the fasteners can be a daunting task. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: 1998 Venture Tail light installation
Check out www.gmpartsdirect.com for great pricing and help. You'll need your VIN number so they can get you the exact part.

Re: 1998 Venture Tail light installation
I don't imagine the new one will come with fasteners, and the fasteners are Torx screws, I believe, which take special screwdrivers or sockets available in any autoparts store, and maybe even Wal-Mart.

Re: 1998 Venture Tail light installation
Whatever doesn't come with the replacement tailight should be swapped from the old one. Have you considered calling you local salvage yard? Probably will be half the price and come with everything.
