smell

My 87 NA smells as soon as i start it up. it isn't the smell of burning oil, but kinda like gas (the kind of smell you get when a lawnmower runs). is there anything i can do to get my car to stop smelling because sometimes after i drive it i wreak of the smell

hm... take it to a shop, get them to check your injectors. a friend of mine had a similar problem, and i think the mechanics might have been on crack, but they told him the injector was spraying gas outside the engine... don't ask me how.

Re: smell

Check to see if the screw has backed out of the pulsation damper. Or check your fuel lines to see if they are dried and/or cracked.

i dont' think it is the fuel lines because it doesn't smell like unburned gas, it just smells like strong exhaust, with a burned gas smell also.
