front disc brake clicks..!?

Hello all,

I've a problem w/ my passenger front brake on a 2000 Prelude. When i reverse to park and slowly apply the brakes, it makes a pretty loud "click-click" sound just before I stop. Anyone w/ the same problem?

Any help would be great!

Only happens when stopping in reverse?

Do you have an auto tranny?

This could be a lot of things, from the simple to the complex (brakes, suspension, bearings, tranny...). My best suggestion would be to take it back to the dealer & have them diagnose and fix it under warranty. Then please come back and tell us what it was.

Thanks guys..

I've finally gone to the dealership, turns out the problem was remedied by lubing the front brakes (as what the dealer had told me). Odd, as after the lubing of the brakes were done, the brakes start to screech more than before..? what gives..?? man...

Question

Are you sure they "lubed" the brakes-where on them do you do this? If they put anti-squeal on the back of the pads that should have taken care of pad noise. You said it clicks-if you have been hard on the car it could be the CV joints, but I suspect something really simple/stupid here. If you can get the front of the car up enough-check the upper control arm mounting bolts-Mine were loose and it only made a CLICK in reverse. It is not generally the SS gearbox unless you have really hammered on it.
