Question Problems when wet

I have a 93 Cavaier RS... Heres my problem.
Whenever it gets really wet, either from driving in rain or slush and snow it shakes really bad and eventually stops but sometimes starts 10 minutes later. The last time this happened (2 nights ago) it was raining heavily, it started shaking when I got it over 25 MPH & when I stopped I turned off the engine. When I started it again it would only go up to 10-15 MPH and it was really loud when I accelerated.
Any Ideas??? Please email [email protected], [email protected]>>>Put in subject line (car problems) so I don't delete it.

Re: Problems when wet

it sounds like the distributor is getting wet inside and shorting out. This happens to older subarus mainly b/c of the distributor being placed in an area susceptible to moisture. Does your car even have a distributor, or is it coil pack? If it does, where's it located. Also check the 5th wire that supplies power to the distributor cap. If it's frayed or chewed, this might happen when it's wet out.
