Umm to put in your Del Slow I take it? Personally I don't think you'll find much help from anyone who really appreciates these cars. Fiberglass your own custom design and don't bastardise the Supra dash.

I'm destroying the del slow myth a quarter mile at a time.. don't worry C'mon... imitation is the highest form of flattery. I can't help that I like the fact that it looks like a cockpit. I wasn't gonna use the whole dash, because I don't like the mkIV passenger side.. I just want that cockpit area. And even that is gonna be glassed to all hell to fit.. just looking for something to build off of.. I don't wanna have to glass the whole thing. I'd rather spend my summer doing something besides the dash.

Any car could be made fast, if I had the time and money to blow I'd make a 7 second yugo. My del slow comment was in fun, and because I don't see a point in making any family car fast other than as a joke. If your going to glass the whole thing it would actually save time to just carve it new one out of foam and build a plug, closed cell foam is very easy and quick to shape and the whole deal shouldn't take longer than 2 weeks tops. While trying to make a dash made for a car that's probably two feet wider fit is going to really eat up time and money. You can do whatever you like, I was just trying to help you save alot of headache because I have done a few interior swaps and I know what it will take.

I understand where you're coming from, and I appreciate it. I do interiors as a time killer when I get bored with school and life, and I know that it would probably be easier to build one from the ground up, and I was hoping to find the dash not necessarily to use, but to base a mold off of... I have a bad bad bad habit of having uneven bubbles... like one side wil be at / that angle and the other side's like | that. Lack of practice in the fiberglass dept. And about the two feet wider.. yes, it is, but it looks like most of that can be taken out of the middle of the gauge space, which is where I was intending on taking it from. I was just hoping that maybe someone had the dash laying around and would let it go to be chopped up.. But when this project's finished I'll post pics of the bastardized supra dash

Have you actually studied/measured the MKIV dash? You "might" be able to remove 2" without it looking weird and being to small to even fit your legs in without being cramped up. The width would have to be taken out of the ends, and then it would be semi circular instead of a "cockpit". Like I said you should try making a plug out of closed cell foam first, if something is crooked you can always sand it down, if you ruin the plug a new huge block of foam can be had for $10 if you go to the right places. You use the del sol dash as the templet for the outline and mounting points and fill in between with your chosen design. Anyway I'll quit posting in your WTB thread, I shouldn't have ruined it and I apologize I guess.
