Question Tranny

I have a 2000 Grand Am SE with a Quad four and a 4 speed automatic transmission. i was just wondering if anyone knew if it is a 4T40E because i want to get a mod that makes shifts stiffer. Any help is greatly apriciated. ThANX!

all you got to do is call up a gm dealer and tell them the model year and engine size and they will tell what tranny you got. you can do it over the phone or show them in person. If your buying a intercepter transmission module it could be crucial to know this cus that mod part is bout 70 bucks and you have to order it in. The intercepter however does not change your shift settings , youll need a delco performance chip to remove the top speed limiter and it also creates higher rpm shift points. In your case with the quad four , the higher rpms will make a huge difference in performance.
