Ist race eva... kinda bumbed out
Hey whats up. well last night i ran my 97 LS teg against one of my friends piece a shit 96 Toyota Avalon. He's always talk n bout how his car is all a dat and i just laugh at em. So we decided to run the cars and i was look n foward to shut n him up. I just got my car a lil over a month now and still leam n the basics of racing.
So we line up and one of my boys is flag n us down. We were only gonna race for 2 blocks, bout 1/8 mile. Im nervous cuz this is my first race... too afraid the cops gonna come. Well i dropped the car at 4K rpm and had a HORRIBLE launch. WAY TOO MUCH TIRE SPIN. Lost that race by 1 1/2 car lengths. Im pissed cuz i just got beat by an AVALON. so we go back, line up again. i got a good launch but MISSHIFT in 2nd! beat me by 1/2 car this time. Now im really pissed so we line up again. this time i get a decent jump off the line and beat em by 2 car lengths and still pull n. raced another time, same result: spanked him again. So he won two and i won two. went back for another round, this time i had a really bad launch but i still beat em by less than 1/4 car length. i was pull n on him though but we had to slow down. So we raced a last and final time. This was the best run, beat em by bout 2 1/2 cars. Even though i won 4 out of the 6 races i was still pissed that he had beaten me twice... but that was my fault on the bad launch and the misshift. My car only had a TSUDO cat back with 2 3/8 " piping. No intake so i probably had less HP than stock. Cant wait to get mo shits fo my car and LEARN to drive better. practice makes perfect!

nice job things like that will happen untill you get some expierence and get more consistant with your launches.

first time i've ever heard of an avalon racing, those cars are very nice, dependable, safe, relatively fast for a full size/luxury vehicle. used to be called the cressida, as close to a lexus you can get without the price.
but a race car?.........NO

oh by all means the avalon is nooooo race car. My friend just thinks it's the shit!!! It's his parents car and he uses and abuses it to the max. It's funny the way he thinks his car is cool.... but it was good kick n his ass 4 times in a row.... even though he did have the 1st two races

It's just a screen name! you dont have to pick at everything with a fine tooth comb now. The RSX type S is my dream car and once i get it i have lots of plans for it including boost n it.

yea i think im better at shifting and launching. the first two races i was just nervous and wasnt really thinking about what i was doing. now i can smoke that avalon...
one of my other boyz wants to run me. he has an 87 rx-7. it's not the TURBO II version and he only has a filter and 3 inch catback exhaust. i think i'll be able to hang with if not beat him. We're probably gonna run next week. i'll let u know the outcome
