Seeking advice
Im very poor, so buying a car is not an everyday thing. Infact if i bought a car it would probably be my only car till im like 25.
Anyways the problem is i have 'soft' credit which means i can only get a car loan for 5000 MAX, but it goes down from there because my credit union goes by kbb with the miles. Example: I went to a dealer, he had a 95 integra ls. I called my credit union and they said they could give me 5000 (it only had 67k on it). But it was a salvaged car, the guy said someone stole the seats and the door panel on it. It drove perfect and was clean, cept for a few scratches on the bumper. Since it was salvaged i only could get like 75% of the 5000. Then i called for a 94 ls with about with like 140k on it and could only get 3300. This 1 had a clean title. Anyways i start school sometimes this month and i wont have enough time to go looking for cars. I gave my current car to my aunt, so im also car less. I just want to know if it would be better to close my insurance (i still have insurance even though i dont have a car) and pay the 180 a month on it or close it and save the money everymonth towards a new car. I have about 320 a month after car insurance and other bills. so ill have 500 left if i get rid of the insurance. Im not sure how long its going to take to find a car with that low of miles as the salvaged car and still be around 5000. So should i close my insurance or keep it? also what websites do u look through to find a car? |

Re: Seeking advice
autotrader seems to be the best cause they actually have cars below 98.
www.carsdirect.com www.carsoup.com www.automall.com www.cars.com there r tons more but i dont remember because ive been to so many. I think im just going to goto a dealer and pay the higher interest. |
