dome light problem

I have a 97 civic Ex, for some reason the dome light nolonger works right. I have replaced the bulb two times now and I know its not the bulb. The weird thing is when I slide the switch, my trunk open light comes on the dash. When I open the doors the same thing happens. Shows the trunk is open, when I shut the doors the light goes out and dings, but still no dome light? WTF is going on?

Word

Yeah my dome light works when I hit the switch, but it doesn't come on when I open my doors. WTF. I have a '98 civic ex. I think it has something to do with a wiring problem/failure. P. S. does your radio antenna suck too, I can't get a decent signal 30 miles outside of a city.
