Heater Problems

I have a 1998 GTP and i my car started to overheat so i turned on my heat, but the first 4 settings of the heat 1-4 didn't blow anything out, but the 5th, max, setting worked. I checked my coolant and it was a brown mud. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about it, or if you think its related or sepreate why my heat 1-4 settings don't work. Thanks

Re: Heater Problems

You have a resister on your duct for the multispeed control of your fan this resistor is gone install a new one and you will be fine as far as the mud like coolant go to a garage and get a coolant flush and fill they will flush out the old stuff and fill it with new also if it is an automatic change the transmision filter you should notice a big difference in shifting
