Question stereo help

my stereo kept blowing a fuse so i took the whole thing out, thinking there was a short somewhere. now i want to put it back in, but i don't know the wiring schematics for it, can someone tell me the color codes for a 1994 escort lx, or tell me a place to look for them

Do you mean wiring for the speakers? I have a wiring diagram right here... just not certain what it is you want...

Right front: Dk Blue/white & white
Right rear: White/ Dk Green & Dark Blue
Left front: Purple & Dk Blue/ orange
Left Rear: White/ Dk Blue & Red/ Dk Blue

Need anything else?

That would require removing the instrument cluster in order to get to the bulbs.... which in my opinion is more work than it is worth. You'd have to drop the steering weel... maybe even remove it (not sure I have never actually done it), unplug all the switches and speedo cable, etc. from the panel, pull it out, make your changes, stick it back in. I am trying to picture it and I am not sure that would have the effect that you'd probably like anyway.
