1977 Monte Carlo "Sunset of Eternity" (10 pics)

I guess people lost interest in the Lowrider contest so I made a thread about the first model I've completed in 2004. The side and rear windows were made with clear plastic sheet. It's a Monogram "Wheels of Fire" kit. Paint is Duplicolor Maple automotive paint (actual Monte Carlo color option) with Duplicolor clear. The rear deck has Hoppin' Hydros 8" speakers with Detail Master grilles and a Detail Master (I think) Lowrider plaque. There is a photoetched key and keychain set in the ignition. The chain-link steering wheel is fron a Monogram '60 Impala kit. The wheels are Pegasus Daytons. Thanks for looking.

Very nice paint job!
did you use metal foil for window trims and wheel arches?
it works very well.

nice job tonio. Looks hot, very cool, clean, and well built. How do you get those duplicolor paints to go on soo smooth? Even with perfect conditions, and p-mans how paint thread, I can't get it that nice.

I shake the paint for bout 2 to 3 minutes straight right after I warm the can in hot tap water for about 3 minutes.

Really like this Monte bro. You gotta be teh best painta evah on the intraw3b Very cool colors, detailing and wheels.

I dig the lowriders. Too bad no one is responding in the Lowrider Contest thread. I don't think the majority of people on AF dig lowriders, or American models. That's ok though. To each their own. aye? Some of us appreciate beautiful builds no matter who made the kit or what country the car comes from.
