89 Vandalized Camry fixed, what about security ?

Good news, I've finished restoring the Camry to where it was before
all this went down.

The new steering column went in flawlessly however I didn't notice till after it was fully installed, the new one has an Intermitant Windshield Wiper control incorporated on the same arm as the old one. It dosn't work but I guess that's OK.

I did add a chain/padlock to the hood that locks behind the front license plate, I hope that helps keep the thieves away from the engine compartment.

New Questions
Has anyone had good or bad experiences with the "visable" anti-theft devices such as the Pedal Club, or the Steering Wheel Club.??
I want to add something that would make a potential thief think twice before doing this kind of damage again.

The whole mess took me an entire Saturday, part of Friday and $175 bucks. Of course that included several modifications and lot's of clean-up from the flying glass pieces.

any comments on security devices appreciated.

Way to go!
The clubs are a deterrant to someone in a hurry and without the proper stuff as these are easily defeated.
An alarm is an easy deterrant and easily installed by someone with some intellegence as you have proven.There ars kits available from places like www.jcwhitney.com that may be right up your alley.I have installed a couple different types-they have different levels of protection options along with a manufactures website and tech assistance.

The reason I was interested in the "visual" type devices is 'cause I drive the Town Car normally, and the Camry sits for two or three days at a time before I take it for a spin.

Boy wouldn't I just love to have a silent alarm hit my cell phone or similiar paging device.
