LS/Vtec on LS teg questions

Hi guys
Ive done a lot of reading on the benefits of the LS/vtec engine build and i think that it is worth money to do it on a 95' LS integra that im planning to get this summer (i want the car to be a daily driver). I thought about getting the gsr but have heard about the drawbacks to the dual intake head and how the gsr motor really doesnt make the power and torque it should. Anyway i want to keep the LS block (b 18a) because of its longer stroke (89 mm) and higher displacement 1,834 vs 1797 cc. I want to mate the 18a block with a b16a head (and keep the intake manifold of the 16a). The b16a head flows as good or better than the b18 c5 head of the type r.

Some hp/ torque numbers at the wheels:
teg type r (1999) --151.8/111.4
gsr (B18C/ 2001) --140/111
LS/vtec (1834 cc) --178(@7200)/126 (@6500)

the LS/Vtec head is all stock b16a except for aem cam sprockets and the block is all stock b18a except for type r pistons.

Im just arguing my case that this is a worthwhile setup which can definatly benefit from common mods like intake exhaust, header, some type r cams, larger injectors (stock b16a were used --240cc), pullies, and definatly some tuning.

I know there is a kit that eliminates the problems like oil to the vtec etc

My question to you guys who know what they are talking about is the reliablilty issue. Are there long term reliablity concerns with this setup, what about fuel economy? Another thing im concerned about is finding a qualified shop mainly because the car needs dyno tuning as well as fuel tuning and some holes have to be drilled in the block so the block fits the head right?
Thanks for your help and if any of you live in the ny nj area and you know a shop that can do this job for me that would be a great help. Id apreciate any help/ advice about this mod.

one more thing

could it be cheaper to go with a jackson racing supercharger on a gsr--for reliablilty sake cuz i know it would be more expensive.

Here is a great company that builds honda/acura performance engines--
