Load Leveling Suspension

I have a 2004 Envoy XL with the Load Leveling Suspension. The problem is one side, more specifically the rear passenger side leans more to one side. Bascially the Envoy is not level, which is the intent of this type of suspension. The dealer stated that it had to break in and naturally become even. They did attempt to adjust it but it was the same after the adjustment. They now want to wait for it to break in more. Anyone have experience with this type of suspension, or what should be done to repair it? Thanks!

sounds like a shit fest with the dealer. That dealer sucks ass they dont know what they are talking about. It should work fine from the time you get it. You cant break in a computer. this is commom sense because the suspension system has to be monitored by a computer because i assume that it is adjustable as well. This is new technology so there could be a bug in the system Just my two cents

air shocks

I have the same problem. The first time I brought it back they said it was a bad valve. The second time I brought it back ( on or about June 30) they said it was a leak in one of the hoses. Thye claimed to repair it. However this morning it was listing to one side again. I measured the distance from the ground to the top of the wheel well on what I believe was fairly level ground. The right side of the vehicle was one inch lower than the left. By the way the first time they "fixed the valve" they blew out one of the air shocks when they took it off the lift. They didn't have a spare and the car sat in the shop for 3 weeks.

Re: Load Leveling

I had to take my Envoy to the dealer four times for excessive body roll and other rear end suspension symptoms, each time they told me that what I was experiencing was a characteristic of the vehicle and that there were no defects found when inspecting it.

I finally took it to a different dealer where I was told that both rear torsion bars (the piece that connects the suspension to the frame) was installed backwards!

Be Persistent!

Suspension Fixed

They finally fixed the the suspension. After 5 trips to the dealer, where they replaced everything from air tubes, valves and the compressor, the dealership thought it might be a good idea to call the Factory. If I am to belive the service rep, the sensors that determine the level of the car were malfuntioning. They replaced the sensors on the right side and the Envoy has been level for about 2 months. I was told this is a common problem up "North".
