00' Civic cd player in a '97
Hey all,
Does anyone know if a factory cd player from a '00 Civic would fit and work in a '97? I recently put an Alpine in my '00, and i'd like to put the factory cd player into my mom's '97, which had its aftermarket cd player stolen. Thanks. |

Re: 00' Civic cd player in a '97
Hey, I'm realizing now this is an old post but hopefully you will get an email stating someone has responded. Turns out the 00 radio will not work in the 97. 97 was one of the years they ran the keyless entry through the factory radio. Also, they are different shapes as well. I'm pretty sure this will keep you from being able to put it in your mom's. Hope this helps.

Go to Best Buy and Purchase a 99-00 REVERSE Cd Player Harness. Then connect this to the back of the 99-00 CD player. Then get the regular 96-98 Harness with Keyless entry and then tap the 2 harnesses together and it will work perfectly...
