I have a 98 Pontiac grand am se 3.8 liter engine. I need to know how to install the ac - alternator belt on this car? What kind of steps do i need to take of this belt? Its complicated and crowded inside this engine.

i think theres a hole for a 3/8" breaker bar or rachet in the tensioner. relieve pressure in the tensioner remove belt and put the new one on. pay close attention to how the belt is routed around all the pulleys there should be a diagram under the hood somewhere. a modified coat hanger or brazing rod might be neccessary to get the new belt around some of the pulleys. have fun!!
