61/2 speakers in front??

hey whats up. i have a 97 grand am gt and am planning on upgrading the stereo system. i already put 6by9 kenwoods in the back and 4by6 in the front doors, but the 4by6 are horrible. hardly and bass response i should have expected that with such a small speaker. does anybody know if 6 1/2 speakers fit in the front doors easily??

is the head unit stock? if so then the problem maybe that the door speakers are under power have you ran an amp? another problem you my have is that the ohms are matching. its a great idea to have your ohms match. if you've done all of this then return your 4x6s.

na my head unit is not stock. i have a jvc 200watt head unit and have never ran an amp. the front speakers by the way are pioneer, which i have herd from multiple people after i bought them that their speakers do not have the best bass response. should have researched before i bought them rather than listening to the best buy people. dumb move on my part haha. anyway back to the origional question; do 6 1/2 speakers fit into the front doors?? if not do u have any suggestions for 4by6 speakers that have a good bass response??

yea they will fit, you just have to get ride of that plastic thing behind the speakers, but other then that they should fit.

im not exactly bias but i do like polk and infinitys.

if you want some awesome front speakers, get the polkmomo 6.5s. my whole car is polkmomo sound, its nice. the front 6.5inch run around $160, and you can get them special ordered at circuit city.
