d17a2 swap in??????????????????

Wassup, i have access to a FREE d17a2 enging out of 01 civic ex. Will this swap into my crx hf, my crx is just a shell by the way but wired for vtec. What will i need to swap this into my crx? i know what is entailed in putting a z6 or y8 in but because this is newer im thinking there might be more complications? Also will i be able to get a wiring harness for it?? any help appreciated k thanks

Say no to primer, lol, love it!!!!!! I hate the losers with unpainted body kit parts!!

Its a d-series, I imagine they all share mounts. And has the vtec wiring, cant see why it would be too hard.

unfortunately, the newer civics share no relation in mounts to the older style 4th/5th and 6th gen civics. And if your getting a free motor, I would get it and just sell it to someone who is lookin for a vtec motor for their 01+ civic.

In other words, it wont bolt in.

sorry lisa

Also, those civics have distributorless ignition, which means you'd have to convert your car to the OBD generation of that engine, if it would even bolt in.
