I have one remote for my envoy with the number 2 on the back. I am going to purchase another on e-bay. Do I need a #1 or a #2 remote

shouldn't matter, but you will most likely have to get it programmed at the dealership....

Re: Keyless remote
2002 GMC Truck Envoy - 2WD
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Transmitter Programming Important All transmitters which are to be recognized by the Liftgate Module (LGM) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. Up to 4 transmitters can be programmed. Do not operate or program the transmitters in the vicinity of other vehicles that are in the keyless entry program mode. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle. You may program up to 4 transmitters, using either of the 2 following procedures: Method 1 - No Tools Required Close all the vehicle doors. Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder. Press and hold the door unlock switch. While holding the door lock switch in the unlock position, cycle the ignition ON, OFF, ON, OFF. Release the door unlock switch. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode. Press and hold the LOCK button and the UNLOCK button simultaneously on one transmitter. After a delay of approximately 15 seconds, the doors will lock and unlock to confirm the programming of that transmitter. Repeat the previous step to program up to four transmitters. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position in order to exit the keyless entry transmitter mode. Operate the transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation |

I had a cellular handsfree kit installed and now my keyless entry doesn't work. I tried the method above to see if maybe it lost the programming from my remotes. I could not get the system to confirm with a lock/unlock. It is a 2004 Envoy XUV. Any ideas???

Driver Seat Memory
Yesterday I bought a used 2003 Envoy SLT. I also only got one remote (#2). When I try to program my driver's seat settings, it doesn't accept them. When I push on the small #2 button on the door (expecting a chime, as the manual says) I don't get anything. I have turned the settings off since the previous owner was obviously about 6'4'' and I'm . . . . not. I'll try the re-programming as noted on this post, but does anyone have any other suggestions? The remote works fine for everything else.

2002-2004 Envoy remote
I just listed a #1 remote for 2002-2004 Envoy on Ebay. The listing says Trailblazer but it is the same for the Envoy.

Re: Keyless remote
Peppy:
Something we noticed on saving seat programs with the button on the door...we have to hold down the button for quite a while before the program is saved and chime is heard. |
