New Neon Owner

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I recently bought a 98 Neon. SOHC 2.0. 70k miles, I am very shocked with the performance of the car seeing as what I paid for it, (Under 3k).

My question though, is there an oil you guys recommend? I have usually always gone with synthetic oils (Castrol GTX , etc).

Second question would be what would be some things to add some HP? But not to much (The wife drives it too, lol). Besides intake, exhaust. I keep hearing about this "Magnum" head, but is it worth it?

In Harmony,
David

Re: New Neon Owner

get an udp($100) with belts.

the magnum head is very nice and a pretty easy upgrade, it has much better ports.

also is your car mtx or atx? if atx swapping to a mtx will give you the most performance. I swapped mine for like $400

Re: New Neon Owner

It's a 3 Speed Auto, I'd swap a Manual in but like I said the wife drives it too and she's not to fond of sticks.

Thanks for the reply
David
