get it.. i've seen a 6'5'' guy drive a miata and a 90' at that.. soo you should be able to fit easliy plus i'm like 5'10'' i have a 90' miata with plenty of head room...

or you can just try a test drive at your local mazda dealer

It really depends on availablilty. Are there lots of used 1.8 Miatas out there? Look at any and all you find. Test drive and make a decision. I have a 90 that I love. Bought her in 1989. Still hangin in. I take real good care of her......continual maintenance, etc. Good luck!

Phantom. I can't answer that as I have a stock and like her that way. They only modification I have done is put in Borla Catback because I like the sound better. That's it. I have not even advanced the timing.

Good luck

well what i am going to do if i get a miata is but a body kit on it, rims and tires, a custom stereo system, lower it a little, a fiberglass cover for when the top is down, change the flip up lights to stationary lights (no flip up lights) and do a dress up kit on the engine and put THO4E turbo charger on it with a front mount intercooler, put sway bars front and rear, change all bushings to urethane bushings for tighter everything, put front and rear strut bars, and do a custom interior with racing seats, 5 point harnesses, paint certain pieces of the interior to make the interior look better and some more things i dont remember

I don't think it would be a Miata anymore

I think you answered it yourself LOL Seriously, why buy something that you want to change so much? I truly love the miata just as she is. Simple, yet so much fun. I can understand wanting to "supe" it up, but changing anything about the exterior would make it an "non-miata" in my opinion. If ya got the bucks to spend for all that stuff, why not buy something more racey to begin with?

Good luck to ya, Phantom!

I understand all your reasons except that a lot of people think its a chick car. Hardly. Miatas are dime a dozen where I live....tons of them and the majority are driven by males. If you are confident in your sexuality anyway, thinking it may look like a chick car is not valid.

I guess I hate the expression "chick car". I am no chick. I am a woman LOL

well, pay no attention to those people. They have no life anyway LOL. By the way, I have seen some pretty suped up cars, all dressed up with skirts and everything.....with a female behind the wheel. These days, it goes both ways
