Thumbs up My 1st Real Model

I jumped right in.....finishing the partially started Alfa Romeo GTV that my boyfreind bought to build for me...he had part of the engine done, some body painting and a few other odd peices painted.....

its going quite smoothly....

I learned why you shouldnt cut things off the tree using your thumb to sheild the knife from the other parts.....
and of course its my right thumb that I buried the blade into....you know...you never EVER realize how much you use a digit until you get a stabbing pain every time you touch something with said pad of finger...
It hurts to turn the key in my ignition now...I feel like quite a buffoon...
oh and plastic cement in said gaping wound really sucks too...

but all in all i have most of the engine done and in, my exhaust looks fabulous if i do say so myself

my current dilemma: My boyfreind had the interior half painted in the Grey colour that the instructions suggested... and I continued, then had an almightly epiphany, my father's 79 Alfa GTV has a tan leather interior, this thing would look alot better with a tan interior... so now I can either continue on with the grey that is all painted and doesnt look _that_ bad......or repaint the entire interior tan

ah well...back to the suspension....

I have a scar on my left index finger from that. You learn to just mar your desk! I just bought a cutting pad from the fabric store, too...

What color is it gonna be?

i'm married already and my wife not entusiastic about it (hobby of course!)
but sometimes she helps me on small details with fine brush

That's interesting theme: our family and our hobbies: how they interfere
