Fujimi STi 2door

How is it? I'm not talking about the new WRX 4-door, but the two door kit that has been out for a while. Scopin' it on HLJ reveals smallish wheels but I can abide... how are the proportions for the rest of the car? I don't know a lot about Subarus but I'm wanting a WRX for a diorama with a Renault Alpine and I think I like the two doors better than the four (plus, HLJ has them in stock which is a plus, since I want it to be ready to ship when the Garage MAK Silvia is stocked, otherwise I would go the Tamiya route for ease).

Anyway, anyone built these that can tell me how it went?

Re: Fujimi STi 2door

I have built one, it's not a bad kit at all.
The interior detail is a little sparse, as is the underbody, but overall the car's proportion is right.

That's the word on the street and HLJ is at least pretending it's the case.... "March Restock" so I went ahead and ordered one. I'd hurry if you wanna get one yourself, who knows how many will be out.

And yeah, I shoulda done a search... sorry Jay...

Here's my impression of the car: like just about almost all their models, Fujimi really messed up the nose and the rear lights. The grill seems to "hang out" too much, and the front lights are... Well, just wrong! You're right about the wheels being too small.

Have a look at some of the GCs in the af gallery and you'll know what I mean. If you own both the Hasegawa 4dr and Fujimi 2dr, you'll know what I am talking about. I have version 4 (the white box one) and the rear spoiler is also a little too thick. Other than that, I guess everything else is Fujimi (sparse detail, mostly passable).

clem..
