A Little Perspective...
i'm sure all of us have, at some point in our lives, had to write a ridiculously long essay, whether it be 2000 words, 5000 words or more.
BUT, here's a little something to make that essay seem a little smaller. we'll use me as an example. we'll say an average post has 100 words in it. with 4800 posts, at an average of 100 words per post, i have typed around 480,000 words into AF since i first joined. makes that essay look kinda puny now, eh?

noooo essays i hate those!
Today I had to do a 1,000 word essay ,is a requirerment for the state to graduate. and is suck!!!

WTF does JWT stand for??? ok, the, since about 40% of most users posts are just a smiley or some associated bullshit, the average post length is much shorter..... Mine must be like 2 or 3..

I often put more thought into writing my posts than I do writing papers for my classes. This is sad and very true....

I'd say that half the stuff I write is worth a post, the other alf is the equivalent of what somebody would say in response to a joke or comment, just random banter.
All in all, I would say that I have written a fair bit over these past years.
