Re: Muffler
The muffler will have to be welded on. Duel tipped exhausts are gay. It wont fit in the cutout in the bumper for the exhaust. Just get a can design.

Re: Muffler
Can design is just one single round exhaust tip. Like this:
![]() As far as I know, there are no mufflers that just bolt on, or clamp on. It would have to be welded. |

Re: Muffler
I like the look its not, ricer looking. How does it sound? I'm looking for something that puts out more sound, but want some performance out of it too, not just sound.

I knew you'd like it The Greddy Evo sounds awesome to me. It is very deep and very far from raspy. As far as performance goes, you wont get anything from just a muffler. You'll have to get the whole catback system for that. |

I've got a duel pipe on my 2003 Eclipse. There were some minor cuts made to the bumper to fit it in, but nothing major. You don't really notice the cuts unless you get on your hands and knees and look closely at it. So what you can't see/don't know is there won't hurt ya =P

I haven't seen any bolt on mufflers. They are all welded on usually. And a lot of muffler shops will usually hook you up with a decent price for install if you buy the muffler from them. If you don't know how to weld, it's worth it. =)

Re: Muffler
There are no bolt on mufflers. The must be welded.

Re: Muffler
The catback exhausts are bolt-ons, but, if I remember correctly, the Magnaflow muflers are only weld on.
Regardless, even if there is a universal bolt on muffler, there are no bolts to take off the stock one. It has ot be cut off, therefore, there is nothing to bolt it to. You would have to sleeve it on the exhaust pipe, which isnt the best idea, and probably wouldnt work anyway. Do it right. Weld it on. |

Re: Re: Muffler
The Magnaflow mufflers arent exactly a perfect switch for the stock muffler. I agree that its better to weld on the muffler, but the Magnaflow exhausts can be bolted on, all it requires are wider sockets to be drilled in. Either that or theres a difference in the models, my bro got an RS, maybe its different for a GT?
