b16A

I have had a b16A (JDM) in a 91 civic Dx for about a year and I admit I still don't know shit about the engine. I don't even know where the PCV valve and o2 sensor are located. Is the oil volume 4.2 or 4 quarts. Can anyone tell me what car this engine originally came out of. All I know about this engine is what I have been told by others. I want to buy a book, Haynes etc. so that I can work on it and never know what parts to buy. Are there any chips that I can put in my car to boost power etc. Recently, my car has been running like shit and has lost alot of power and I will be honest, other than routine maintainence I haven't a clue where to start. Also I have posted some questions on the forum and have got very little feedback. Is this because of my lack of knowledge about working on cars or just because I am AF newbie and people don't bother with me. The feedback that I have recieved is greatly appreciated and has helped me out alot. Sorry if some of these questions have already been asked or I seem like a real dumb ass but I am just trying to solve my problems and get the most of my civic.

THANKS

Re: b16A

well i think you should spend some time just looking at old threads and reading. thats how i learned. also check out honda-tech.com. just read man thats the best advice.

as far as books, you might want to try a 90-93 integra book. it has some good b series tech. thats what i use.

and for chips, i wouldnt recommend any ecu chipping if all you have is bolt ons. the stock vtec engagement and redline is pretty good on making power.
