88 prelude clutch problems

I recently got a 88 prelude and the clutch pedal goes to the floor and doesn't have any resistance. Any input would be appreaciated in fixing this problem.

Start with the basics, broken clutch cable would be my first guess. There not too hard too replace if thats it.

These cars have hydrolic clutch systems no cables I would check your fluid level its next to the master cylender, the small cup. If its full it could be the slave cylender. its toward the front of the car on the transmisson it has a hose going into it. you could also try bleeding it there is a bleader valve on the slave cylender.

Yes i checked the fluid level and it is full still. When i first got the car it had been sitting along time and im assuming the fuild dried up. We put fluid in it a few weeks ago and it is still where we left it. After bleeding the slave cylender what should i do.

After you bleed it if it still dosn't have pressure I would replace the slave cylender.

I spent alot of time fooling around with my '88 lude clutch. I replaced both cylinders (master, and slave). Bleeding is the hardest part. Because the lines go all over the place, up, and down, etc. It is really hard to get the air out. When you bleed it, try pushing the clutch pedal quite fast. Seriously, pump it as fast as you can.
It's worth it to invest in new cylinders. I was bleeding my '87 Toyota pickup cylinders every week, then everyday, then everytime i went out. I could almost feel my pedal dropping to the floor. I actually lost my clutch mid-intersection and had to power shift to miss being hit. Trust me, replace the stupid cylinders.
Replacing the 'lude slave cylinder is a real pain, because it's so tight down there. Try removing alot of the air intake stuff to make it easer. Email me if you have any more questions. The clutch cylinders is what i had the most experience on in my car

I would have some help you, I have help a friend I he would open the valve, i would push in the pedel hold it and he wouldclose the valve. To not let airback in it.
