last night i was watching speedvision. I watched gay hi rev tuners just because i hadn't seen it in a while. Then as i was walking away to start my term paper, i heard " this 89 240sx into a drift machine". The show was called Tuner Transformation. They took some kids bone stock 89 240 and gave it sr20, rear & front fenders, s13 conversion, new paint job, carb hood & wing, coilovers, skyline breaks, 5 lug conversion, rims, and a phatty intercooler. The show came on at 11:30 pm central time.

I guess it turned out to be a pretty cool show but some of the people that did the work were trying to hard to look cool.
but the car turned out pretty damn cool...i was jealous of the kid.

just want to know if anyone else saw this.....it may have been a repeat and old news... sorry if i brought back up old news.

Yea and i also got rear ended today so my 240 looks cool with a bumper that hangs off. luckly my exhaust is ok and no other damage has been noticed or felt yet.

yea i saw it .I thouhgt it was pretty dumb they just talked the whole damn time they didnt show much work.They were crackin on the KA.

yea but all in all i guess it was good, i mean it coulda went way worse. i was getting prepared for a fast n furious transformation that would give me nightmares for weeks. But i guess they didnt do too bad as far as 240's go. Atleast they represented it as a real car and not like its just another civic and put on some springs, 15 inch rims, a muffler and wing on it....thats what i thought they would do. But they kept it cool and seemed like they put some effort into it as far as how the 240 style is.

yea it was ok i just would have liked to seen more work less talking i dont think any of the host actually did any of the work but yea i agree coulda been a whol lot worse its not as bad as the rx-8 they did

i didn't see the episode on the 240 but i did see the rx8 one. i thought that show sucked ass. i reminded me of some early 90's mtv shit with terrible camera angles and gay music. the guys workin on the cars were all bullshit too. i'd respect that show more if it was more like 2 guys garage or that other show with the canadian guy that retores classic cars, my classic car i think. i know that speed is tryin to appeal to a younger demographic, and i'm sure they'll do it since market research probably showed that ricers far out number people with my opinions, but i didn't like the show.

yea u got a point there just going for ratings with all the ricers....but thats bad because it sends them towards the 240 culture now. that was the first one iv seen and judging from u guys probably the last lol. To me all a good legit car show needs is someone who nows what the fuck there talkin about...not some random ass that reads a q card and says o yea were going swap in a sr20 and take that peice ka out. Just by the way they speak about stuff u know there douche bags.

What? crackin on KA? alright KAT vs SR20T. Thats right. But anyways, i agree with chuki. They shouldn't appeal to ricers. Speedvision, not showvision. That should be about making a car for what it's going to do or designed to do.
