Rev limiter a standard?

Does my car, a 1999 ford escort SE have a rev limiter? I am afraid it doesn't, its auto trans. I was driving on the highway and used regular trans instead of overdrive, so it stucko n 3rd gear going probably 75-80 mph. It is fun! except im afraid the engine might blow, its pretty near the edge of 5000 rpm or so. Plz help!
