Some mornings when it is really frosty out and my car is covered in frost, the inside of my winshield is covered in almost as much frost as the outside. Also, when it isn't as frosty, but there is a lot of moisture then inside of my winshield will have a lot of condensation built up on it. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know how to fix this?

My guess there is water getting into your car somehow, maybe from water leak or leaky heater core and forming frost on the inside of the windshield but thats just a guess

Re: Frost on inside of winshield?
Yeh, it is not just the humidity. I know about that, but this is more. It is big drops of water and when it gets real cold, it freezes.

This happened to me for like 3 weeks this winter, I have no idea wtf the problem is, and it was extremely annoying. I had to scrape the fucking inside of my windows?!

Re: Frost on inside of winshield?
It's just the door/window seals getting old, and moisture is inside then freezing, no big deal.

Is there an aftermarket moonroof on the car? This same thing happened to me because the drain tube was cut too short, soaking the passenger floor every time it rained. |

Well, this is most likely a sign the windsheild needs to be re-sealed. I'm not just refering to a rubber seal, moldings, stripping, etc...it's a urethane seal, it is that is appied around the windsheild underneath the moldings, trim, etc. Any time the windsheild is removed it needs to be re-done, and also, it can wear with time. When the seal goes and the windsheild needs to ne re-sealed, water like this can condence and build up on the inside of the windsheild. That's almost always a sign the windsheild needs to be re-sealed. Go to a dealership, and they can recommend you a windsheild shop that can re-seal the window for you.

Re: Frost on inside of winshield?
just got back for the dealership to get my oil changed and also the shop where they do engine work on my car....i asked bout 6 different people the same thing... most of them stated that if there is a lot of moisture that gets trapped in your car... especially if you leave the vent open then it can happen...especially in cold areas... it happened to me too.. they said its above normal moisture on the window and it happens to some once in a while but rarely...the second thing they also said was that its possible that there could be a leak in either your AC or window or somewhere thats letting in moisture in the car which is then evaporated onto the windows... then they were all getting technical... but they said if its not affecting the the cars electrical or anything else then dont worry..but if its affecting anything or you just want to get it fixed they told me it could cost as little as $25 for a small leak in the window seal or something to as much as $1000 to replace like some cracked internals... dont quote me on this now.. its just what they told me

Re: Frost on inside of winshield?
Thnks for the replies guys. It's good to know that i am not alone. My trunk has been leaking for a few months now so I am wandering if that could be the problem? I will take it to my local honda dealer that I used to work for and maybe they can hook me up!
