weird noise

when going down the road at about 50mph+ an odd noise that seems to eminate from the fan intake, sounds like mass amounts of air hitting something, possibly a fan

figured it out, the air intake hose for the A/C was split in half, the previous owner duct-taped it but the tape mostly came off, letting air rush into the engine compartment and out of the top of the hood near the windshield, creating that loud wooshing sound
