Movie Mistakes

Check out this website. movie-mistakes.com It's pretty funny. ABC did a special on it last night. For example, there's one scene in Lord of the Ring's (great movie by the way!) in a field with a scarecrow where you can see a car drive the entire length of the screen! :silly2:

Yeah, thats been a great site. Now if I go to rent a movie, I check out this site so I can look for the mistakes. My favorite is the one from Star Wars wher a storm trooper hits his head as he comes through a door to catch the two driods.

It's in New Hope, when the stormtroopers walk into the control room to find the droids inside the closet type deal...BONK! I have seen it 95 times since I first caught it. matter of fact...I'm going to go watch it some more.

That is a truly great moment. Makes me laugh just thinking about it.

What really makes it special is that they clearly noticed it during editing because they specifically added a foley sound for it "BONK". They must have thought it was funny but subtle enough for most viewers not to notice, so they left it in.

There's also the flying tennis shoe in one space battle scene, but it goes by so quick you've got to know exactly where it is and freeze-frame through it with a LD or DVD. It's just a white blur on VHS. Clearly done by the SFX guys as a joke.
