My tire turned brown

Can I make it shine again to original black? I've just purchased Meguiar's Gold endurance gel. Will it be good enough or are there any other options to make it black again? Also, can it harm tire or other rubber based products over time? Thank you.

Re: My tire turned brown

it's normal for tires to turn brown sometimes, just scrub them with a brush with carwash soap and rinse, let dry, and apply tire protection like No Touch wet tire shine which has no petroleum.

it will shine good.

Clean your tires with a good White wall cleaner or degreaser like Simple Green. Do NOT allow the simple green to get on your rims & dry, it will permantely damage the surface. I was my car weekly & every time the tires have brown = road debris & brake dust.

The best stuff is Armorall Tire Bright. It really adds a great look to a clean car. The stuff by "invisable glass" works great too. You can pick these up at the local Wal-mart, PepBoys, Autozone, etc.

Re: My tire turned brown

you cannot put on tire shine until the dirt is off. with that said go out and buy some liquid degreaser or some wheel acid. spray what u get on the tire and the wheel. if you are only going to scrub the tire get some steel wool and scrb the tire for lik 2 minutes. hose the tire (pressure wash if possible) then dry it or let it dry. when that is done hit it with some tire shine, and it wil look brand new

Re: My tire turned brown

tires typically turn brown when using solvent based dressings i.e. armor all and a few others. Clean the tires thoroughly and apply a water based dressing like Bold N Bright or 4 star tire gel
