disable auto door locks on 99 silverado

I read another listing on disableing the auto door locks on a 03 silverado and was wondering if the same proceedure will work on my 99? Either way, what is the proceedure for disableing the auto doorlocks on a 99??

Wouldn't it be great! But my understanding is that it wasn't a dealer programable option until the 2000 year build. So we 99 year owners are stuck with the damn auto door locks!

I have a 99 also but my doorlocks don't do it. huh... i wonder why? good luck.
