Thumbs up 1993 T-Bird tailight

I have taken the lens off of the trunk and there is a wire that feeds into the lens but have no idea how to open up to replace the bulb. Any ideas from you Ford fans. This is the long lens not the corner lens

Re: 1993 T-Bird tailight

You don't have to take off the lens just open the trunk and you just give the bulbs a little twist counterclockwise and you will be able to change the bulbs. Don't make it too complicated its easy just don't bust the seals around the lenses.

Re: 1993 T-Bird tailight

the LED light in the trunk taillight cannot be changed. the backup light can, but the red taillight cannot.

you probably have some of the them out, correct? looks like a striped pattern? the circuitry goes bad on the LED strip. the only way to fix it is to chop open the taillight and make your own circuits, or buy a new taillight.

try the junk yards first, tho. OEM from ford is roughly $300 per taillight. but even the junkyards charge ~$75.
