Replacing Power Antenna

Need some help in getting the old antenna out so I can replace it with the new mast I bought.

It looks like there are three panels in the back of my 1997 GS. Not sure if I need to remove only the driver side panel or both the driver side and center panel in the trunk. Any advice would be great.

The motor still sounds good, I'm thinking the nylon gearing inside the mast has broken. Let me know!

Thanks,
Todd

Re: Replacing Power Antenna

Ok i got a cheap solution for you...
Open your trunk and remove the plastic cover to the power antenna and unplug it. There one wire for the power. It will just make it non-powered.

Re: Replacing Power Antenna

Let me re-summarize: I have a broken off power antenna mast that I need to repair. I've already bought the new mast that will replace the broken off antenna mast. I need to ask if anyone knows how to access the antenna motor? I can't get the panel off the wall of the trunk. Any help would be great appreaciated. Thanks!
