testing individual fuel injectors?

How can I test fuel injectors individually? I am going to do a pressure test on them on the car but how will I narrow it done to a particular one? Im suspecting one leaking thru.

Re: testing individual fuel injectors?

If you suspect one or more to be leaking. ie long cranking after sitting. Try running the engine for a minute, then shut if off and listen to each injector thru a stethoscope. If one has a little hiss that the others do not, then you've found the one that's bleeding pressure from the fuel rail!!
Just a thought.

Re: testing individual fuel injectors?

I'm almost betting your working on a 3.0!
on most engines you can actually remove the entire fuel rail with the injectors still on and then jump the feul pump relay to power up the fuel pump, or use a scantool if you are real lucky, and you will see the ones that leak plain as day.
