What car is this?

So I was watching Mischief 3000 today, and I saw this car, but I have no idea who makes it or what it's called...

Can someone help me out?

Re: What car is this?

The car is made by English manufacturer Morgan, it's called the Aero 8. Powered by a 4.4l BMW V8. Fast car, strange looks

It was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in 2000, I don't know when it went on sale, but that should give you a clue of how new it is.

Re: What car is this?

Morgan has been around since 1913, a quirky but lovable British firm that seems resilient to change and is still family run (by the 3rd generation now). Morgan had been using the same basic Plus 4 chassis since around the mid-30's, and in 1968 they beefed it up a bit and created the Plus 8, with a Rover V8 stuffed in it. 2003 was the final year for the Plus 8, mainly because the Rover V8 will no longer have type approval worldwide, limiting production of the car significantly. Therefore, Morgan introduced the Aero 8 a couple years ago with the new BMW V8, while harking back to the design of the older Plus 8.

Re: What car is this?

I think it is pretty sweet. They just don't make cars like they used to, if only more vehicles could be as beautiful as this.

What Heep didn't mention was that Morgan is almost notorious for their extremely long waiting list. I once heard there was a rumoured 8+ year wait list for the Plus 8. They must have beefed up production now with the Aero 8, but I know only 99 are coming to the US, one's for sale in the latest DP Registry.

BTW, the Chassis is made of Ashwood.

I want one.

Not sure exactly how long, but it was definitely several years. The Aero 8 has a smaller list for a couple reasons...it's not quite as popular as the old-school Plus 8, but more than anything, it's because the aluminum structure, while being more high-tech, is actually faster and easier for Morgan to build, so production takes only a few weeks instead of a few months.
