Re: How much have u spent on your ride?

Its one of those things I really have to think about and then I think holy shit was it really that much. Im thinking about 2500 in parts car was 2000 to start with. So 4500 including the new motor.

Hmmm that is a tricky question...
If I admit I really rather don't count how much
money I spent and how much I'll spent...

But I can tell you how much money I put
last year just for the engine swap....

-engine(B16A2)......................600$
-transmission.....................
-axles...................................600$
-alternator.........................
-race pistons..........................878$
-ITR cams...................
-ITR valves....................
-ITR valve springs...................600$
-ITR oil pan...................
-HASport mounts....................399$
-HASport mounts(tranny).........150$
-HASport shift linkage..............150$
-main crank and rod bearings.....550$
-APEXi filter............................75$
-Autometer gauges..........aprox.400$
______________________________________

TOTAL just for this years plan....4402$

And I didn't count in other parts for exterior...
rims+ tires (17"), ingalls, painting job(engine bay),
custom hood, custom fenders, custom front bumper....

I can't belive how much money I spent and I must spend that that shitty car will be back on the road
But it's an dddiction

Re: How much have u spent on your ride?

Way too fucking much and I don't see it stopping any time soon. With all the different shit I've had for it, probably over 15(cdn) including the cost of the car.

What can I say? I'm in love.

Lets see well I bought my car stock in mint condition(it use to be the Light Metalic blue.)Lets see,

Car = 1450
BodyKit = 800
Corners = 20
TailLights = 185
Skyline wing = 125 from civicassasin
Had to buy an extra engine for the head = 175
System = 800
CAI = 85

So that comes to about 3640, and like CRX HF said it still looks like ass

Well... during the 9 years I've owned the car not including repairs, maintenance, gas, insurance, etc.) I've spent about:

3850 on rims/tires (3 different sets)
1800 on body kit and fiberglass wing
3500 on paint-job & body kit installation
700 on seats
180 on harnesses
160 on tinting
700 on header/exhaust
190 on intakes/filters (2 different ones)
900 on a D16y8
350 for new header for y8
170 for Optima Yellow-top
400 for battery relocation stuff (Machined aluminum battery holder, Connectors, Cable, Circuit Breaker, Distribution block, etc.).
120 for MSD 6-A ignition
560 for interior stuff (Short-shifter, Steering Wheel, CNC Machined hub, Shift Knob, E-brake Handle, Pedals, etc.)
700 for strut-bars, lower tie bar, and sway bar (stolen)
250 for projector headlights
100 on corner lenses (several sets)
100 on sedan door handles (handles plus painting)
140 on new carpet
350 on clutch
3000 on stereo equipment alltogether
580 on alarm system and keyless entry
380 PIAA Driving lights (2 sets, both stolen)

That's about all I can remember at this point...

Come's to about $18,580. Including the car itself ($7500), that's $26,080.

...you still have turbo to add to that list mike

we've done this before so i won't bother with my si. it has some new stuff but *yawn* my car is old news to me

so i guess i'll bust out the new si in our lives. we picked up his new toy around aug '03 and the money spend so far:

91 si $1500
vx rims/ new tires $400
b16, LSD, & stuff $2278
other misc. the car was missing when bought (like exhaust & coilovers) $750
total=$4928

there is more on the way for both of our cars. but you all will have to wait for pics early summer

Yeah, that's going to have to wait until I get employed again though LOL. I'm going to be ordering my P28 ECU, Harness adapter, and z6 dizzy for my y8 this week so I can start getting the engine put back together and hopefully swapped at some point.

Including the cost of the car, $10,000+ The major costs were the car itself and the b16 swap. The rest can mostly be blamed on ignorance; paying too much for parts and repairs, that kind of stuff.
