Wrecked!

My dad has a lexus es 300 and a couple months ago his engine locked up when he wasn't watching his fuel pressure, or something like that, and so its been in the shop for the past 3 months waiting for a new engine, and then finally he found one for around $400 and he just got it back last tuesday, ok then just this morning we were leaving for school, but the battery was dead, so luckily the 'snow-plow-guy' was driving by and he had a battery and cables so he left it with us and we jumped it, ok then we proceded to the gas station, at the gas station my dad went in to get change, while me and my older brother where in the car, he was in the front seat, and the battery started dying again, beacuse we saw the lights on the radio getting dimmer, i told him to push the gas a little because the rpm's will give some power (i heard it werks but not sure) but it died before he got over the center panel thing, ok so i went inside and told him it died again, so he came out, a guy helped us jump start it again, and then we left, we exited the driveway of the gas station and at the very first stop sign 50 from the gas station, a ford ran the stop sign, and we crashed into it, my dad was kinda pissed, and thinking that he'll just give up on this car, so me and my bro got to wait there and i took pictures with my camera phone, but i am still figuring out how to transfer from the phone to the computer so not yet, but i'll have them soon, but the car was just screwed up, and throughout the whole day i was a little shakey (kinda weird).

Would you say that this car is not ment to be? because everytime it gets fixed something will happen again.
