Re: accidents

well I found my perfect one a week or so after I started the search, but I was lucky and had to drive 200 miles for it. There are quite a few out there, but you have to figure the numbers got less and less as the years continued, they don't make them anymore, and many are either wrecked, owned by collectors, or have really high mileage.

i have. stupidest thin that i have ever done. i ws drunk at the time and i hit a tree. i did not really hit that fast, i only hit at about 15-20 mph and i was not exceeding the speed limit by much, maybe 43 ish in a 35. i just did not slow down or turn fast enough for a hard corner, bad reactions i guess. the worst part is that i had a designated driver drive me 90% of the way home and then when he went to a mutual friends house to sleep there i siad that i was fine to drive the other few blocks.

too bad that i had to be such an idiot but at least i learned once and for all never to drink and drive again and thank god i did not have to hurt or kill myself or anyone else in the process.

i seem to see that people do not learn about this unless it is from personal experience but if you can, you should take a lesson from me and never drink and drive at all, not even after just one or two after a few hours, not at all!

Yeah man that's harsh... Drinkin and driving isn't cool
I don't have a VR4, but I got a story of stupidity too =D
I think it was New Year's Day of last year, it was slippery and I was driving along when some guy in a Caravan cut me off. I didn't crash into him or anything, but I got really pissed off, so I downshifted into second and tried to blow past him. Sadly it didn't work out as planned. I downshifted into second and all was going well until I tried to get through the grime between lanes. I lost traction, lost control, did a 360 in the middle of the road, and ended up smoking my rear rim on a curb. Good thing I didn't hit anyone else though. I just bent my rim up and had to put a Probe rim on there for a while. Don't get angry when you drive... it makes you do dumb things

you sound like i said it lightly, you should see how many people i know still drink and drive even after what happened to me and also some mutual friends of ours died like that. i have been around people pleading them not to drive after drinking and they do not listen. some times they are really fine to drive (which does not mean they can't get a dui still) and sometimes they are just stuborn but that is why i think you often have to learn the hard way. now i know that one drink is one too many to drive, period.

also, when you are a car addict and you destroy your car and lose your license for 2.5 years and pay thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours dealing with it, it does suck. i am not angry though because i deserve the punishment and it taught me a valuble lesson, it just sucks though.

Re: accidents

Drinkings dumb aways...its not like it helps you.All it does is make you feel dumb, do really dumb thing (besides drinking and driving), leaves you sick in the morning and gives your a better chance to go to jail or sometimes kill yourself and other people.I'm sorry...but its dumb...even if you know you wont drive at all.I forgot my reason for typing this...oh yea.Its DUMB.lol

Re: accidents

Drinking and driving is dumb, that i will agree with, but drinking..to each his own..don't pass judgment, just because you don't enjoy it/do it. Thanks, Geoff

i have to agree but i still do it. i will tell you why:

1) relaxation, i have a very stressful life, this helps me personally

2) fun. i think it is. just a personal preferance. driving fast is dangerous and stupid too but i know we all like it.

3) habit, sorry to say but this is true as well

4) social lubricant. also sorry to say this but it helps meet people and have fun with people... at least for me.

i do think that i am less intelegent for it but i am not that concerned. i am still very smart (sorry to sound conceided but i think i am) ok now before you go talking about my horrible spelling, i am smart in other ways, that is what spell check is for just today i think there was a good chance that i got 95-100% on my switching and finite atomota class midterm, a class that deals (thus far) with the minimization and manipulation of binary functions through different boolian logic mathematic operations. not a trivial task. this still when i get drunk i still am so stupid as to do many things i regret, just on a smaller scale. i love my car more than any vice i have though. there is not many things that i like more. anyway, not defending alcohol, just saying that i am not a complete dumbass.
