Exhaust whistles

i just installed a new stainless header, stainless highflow cat, and a tsudo 2.5" stainless exhaust.

and at low rpm it whistles and during hard acceleration.

any idea to what it is?

everything is tight and everythinhg has gaskets in between the pipes.

is this just a new exhaust thing or is something messed up?

I had the same problem although i didn't replace anything. On mine i took it to a local muffler shop and we looked under it, it was the flex pipe in the manifold that was making the noise. He replaced it for about 60 bucks. I am not sure if this will be the same in your case but its worth a try.

Re: Exhaust whistles

could be too much back pressure...

my exhaust is fully tunable, and when you tune it really tight, with a lot of back pressure, it will whistle. it kinda sounds like a supercharger when you really get on it :o)

i dont think its too much because of the header, straight through cat, and straight through muffler, if anything its to little

and i think it is the flexpipe because the sound comes from up front not from the exhaust tip

thanks for the replies i'll look into that

Re: Exhaust whistles

Where, might I ask, is it coming from. The engine bay? Below it? In the cat area? At the mufflers?
