Taking off door panels

I just got my del sol a week ago and I know nothing about cars, so sorry if this seems stupid and easy...The door handle on the inside doesn't stay in place where it's suppose to be, it protruds out...and you can't open the door from the inside. I was wondering if there is anything i can do to fix this?? and if so how do i take off the door panels??? Also if anyone knows places online were you can by interior parts let me know...Thanx

Re: Taking off door panels

The door latch release rods I believe have to be aligned correctly when you install the door handle. I don't think anything's broken, just not put back together correctly.

As for taking the door panel off, I think it's just a screw under a screw cover on the door handle, one up by where it meets the dash, maybe one on the door panel toward the rear near the latch, and then I think it's just clips holding it on from there - just pry it off. I've never taken mine off personally, so can't speak from first-hand esxperience.

Good point there. I completely forgot Team Sol WA had something on this. If you don't want to mess with "repairing" it, I think I've seen a few brand new OEM Del Sol handles on eBay for $25.

Re: Taking off door panels

If it's like the how to on teamsolwa then it's just that the rod has fallen outta it's hole... just unscrew that one screw and push it back in..it happened to me once and it hasn't reoccured.

Re: Taking off door panels

Pull off your front speaker grills. They just pop off. Done. You have access to your speakers.

For the rear, just pull off the center panel, unscrew the two screws on each speaker cover, and pull - just clips holding them on from there. Done. You have access to the rear speakers.
