Hi --
My wife and I recently moved, after living 20 years in the Boston area, to Vancouver, WA near Portland Oregon. We have a car we bought brand-new at Marlboro Nissan (a 2000 Sentra), in Marlborough, Massachusetts, 3 years ago. We suddenly are having a great deal of trouble with it, the latest is a $1,000 bill due to electrical failure. Come to find out, the car was in an accident, repaired and sold to us as new. We have the sworn tesimony of the local authorized NISSAN dealer, who can point to physical evidence such as overspray and a replacement front bumper. The car has never been out of our possession since we purchased it, and has never been in an accident. When we called Nissan corporate, refusing to deal with the obviously crooked original dealer, we were told to talk to the Better Business Bureau. In other words, a complete brush-off. We just want justice. Can anyone help? We are just floored. We never expected to be dealing with absolute crooks. Thank you. A former Massachusetts "chump" |

Re: Sold used / damaged car as new from Nissan dealer
If you bought the car as new, and the dealer didn't inform you of it's prior history then you have the right to sue for cost of repairs. If you bought it pre-owned the dealership don't have to tell you squat. My advice is get a carfax report and see what reports have been published against the car. If none show up the car was fixed privatley without a insurance claim. More than likley the car was damaged on the lot by a careless detailer or dealer. You should of been informed of the damages.
P.S. Its doubtful Nissan Corp. had anything to do with it. The damage occurred after leaving the factory. So do the carfax report then target the dealership who sold you the car. GOOD LUCK TO YOU! |
