McLaren F1s in Australia

Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I look forward to spending some time here with you guys .

Anyway, does anyone know if there are any Macs in Aus? My friend told me about how his sister was going to get a ride in some sort of supercar, which he thought was a Mac. I've never heard of any F1s in Australia, so an answer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hell yes! I'll also have to contact Dean Wills, as the suburb Belrose is INCREDIBLY close to me. I'd rather not say which suburb i live in, due to privacy reasons and all.

Thanks Mac Mike.

Re: McLaren F1s in Australia

I had that too, dont assume whitepages.com.au will be correct, you could write to the wrong dean wills. his addresss is probably private. I would suggest you don't contact him as it could be a different person. In my oppinion this address has changed, my dad has spoken to mr wills (neglecting the F1) and something about construction of a new house might occur.
Leave it be for now.

mini, you could be correct, seems a little unlikely but always possible..

My mum has also spoken to him, also leaving out the F1 (she probably doesn't even know what it is). I think hes now the former CEO (was it CEO?) of Coca Cola Amatil.

I still want to contact him, but I don't think I will until I have a definite address, and he's open to being written to. If not, well then too bad i guess.

Re: McLaren F1s in Australia

nice way of thinking, ill do the same. How much does geographical isolation suck.

I've never been near any Macs before, but I hope I'll have the chance to in the future.

Whereabouts in Aus are you Mike?

And does anyone know the chassis number?

Re: McLaren F1s in Australia

The chassis is either #31 or #53 - #31 is Special White and #53 is just White.

Re: McLaren F1s in Australia

the only legal one in Australia is a titianium silver imported by Moran (i think that's how you spell it) who right now hold the lisence for importing Lamborghini back in 94 (i think). the car was under the number plate MCLF1, wether if it was Linsay or the person Dean i don't know, but i know for sure that it was Victorian Number plate so i presume it belong to Linsay Fox because i have seen it personally. And B.KSR i have seen it up close and personal as well, along with 4 other friends in South Bank. And it is confirmed by creditable source that there is only 2 in Australia, officially registed any way.

This photo came up recently in a thread on SC.net:

Could this possibly be that car? The plate you mention is a match and I don't recognize the origin of the plate design.

Could this be the Australian F1 that was driven by the mechanic and wrecked? What does everyone else think?
