Re: Turbo Carberator?

Yes you can, and before the invention of electronic fuel injection it was the most common method of fueling a forced induction engine.

Webber, SU, Stromberg holley and Dellorto among others all make carbertors specialy set up for either suck, or blow through forced induction, but most carb designs will work quite well with low boost levels, providing of course the right jet/needle sizes are avliable to supply the increase in fuel required for the engine to run correctly.

What doesn't make sense about turbocharging a carberated engine? Same concept, just different fuel delivery.
I'd also like to add that in general, draw through systems are not a good idea, if at all possible use a blow through setup. Draw through systems have a larger set of problems.

Look up the Mustang GT from '79-'81 some of the GT's came with the Mazda 2.3 liter 4 cylinder (the same 2.3 that was in the Pinto, base model stangs, Ford Rangers, and too many other cars to count.)

This engine came stock rated at 190hp was was carburated. Do some searching on the web and you'll find it.

Cheers
