engine size

i have an 87 mr2 it says 1600 on top the engine. my question is i sthis engine a 2.4???????

No Dan.. you are wrong... 1600 clearly means it's a 2400cc motor.

Don't forget the Japanese to American conversion calculation.

JDM1600 x 1.5 = USDM2400

hes joking... the 2nd gen mr2 has a 2.0L or to be exact 1998cc's but i dont kno about the mk1

yes he was joking... first gen cars = 1.6L
second gen n/a = 2.2L
second gen turbo = 2.0L
