B16A2's have hydraulic clutches. You must have got a B16A1.

Re: hydraulic Clutch to Cable Clutch ???

So your question is how to install it?

About the wiring harness, why do you need to extend it? Is it a JDM engine? Mine is and I had to extend everything to reach the ecu. I bought about 80 butt connectors and some 14-18 gauge braided wire and went at it, cutting/splicing all the wires. It took some time, but wasn't really hard.

Re: hydraulic Clutch to Cable Clutch ???

Yes you will have to extend it because in Japan the ECU is on the left side (our driver's side) and in our cars it is on the right side (passenger's side). So you will need about 3 little spools of different colored wire, 14 and 18 gauge, and about 80-100 butt connectors to splice the 30-40 wires together and extend them about 2 1/2 feet. I can't help you out with the cable clutch installation, but I'm almost positive the A2's all came stock with hydros. Cable clutches went out years ago man..

Re: Re: hydraulic Clutch to Cable Clutch ???

my prelude has a cable clutch (97). granted, the clutch in the 5th gen ludes is out of date and probably a bad decision on hondas part but...thats the way of the prelude i guess...

Just the wires that go to the ECU.
