Exclamation Car wont start...*new swap*

aight...here's what happened. We thought that the battery was pretty much dead, so we just jump start the car and it'll be fine. Then when u turn it off, there's not enough volts to start it up. So we thought...ok that's fine, we'll just get a new battery. I get a new battery and now when we start up the car it just makes a bunch of clicking noises. Doesn't even turn over. What you guys think is wrong? I can pop start the car, and it'll be fine, but on it's own, it wont start, just clicks.

Re: Car wont start...*new swap*

Not really at all,
There are 2 bolt holding it to the tranny.
the top one is real easy to get off.
its a 14mm socket, for the bottom one I think u will need a 3 inch extension to get it off. Gotta feel around for it though kinda a bitch to get to.
But not too hard. Good luck.

Re: Car wont start...*new swap*

ok, I might be wrong but this is worth a shot. well yesterday my buddy got a jumpstart on his crx from a bmw and after that, the car died after like a coupla cranks and the starter begun to do the same thing. Well turns out the battery fuse under the hood got fried(too much bimmer voltage maybe) anyway we replaced that today, its a 60A fuse, and it fired right-up. other than that, all I can think of is your starter.

Re: Car wont start...*new swap*

well we changed the starter, and now the battery is at 7.99 volts lol...we jump started the car and it started fine. How long does it take for a battery to be recharged when the car is running?

Re: Car wont start...*new swap*

nah, my car had problems before the swap. He did a good job, it's not done yet though. He only got to the point where he finished enough of the swap to give it to me to drive for a couple days. then i have to bring it back up for him to finish up wit some wirings n' stuff. Also...i think my battery keeps getting drained...not sure by what...i seemed to have this problem long time ago also.
